This multi-dimensional art practice explores materiality, fragility, form and emptiness through the concept of Thin Skin. As a physical, metaphysical and philosophical framework, boundaries are reconsidered not as fixed, but as fluid, relational and fundamentally entangled. The practice is diadermic rather than dialogic, exploring exchanges that occur through, across and within permeable surfaces. It draws on the generative potential of uncertainty, doubt and not-knowing, and liminal spaces where distinctions between self and other, begin to dissolve. Current configurations engage with cellulose-based rice paper as a collaborative, organic, skin-like material. Situated between containment and permeability, interior and exterior, it provides a tactile and visual means of exploring interdependence, relationality and the porous boundaries between ourselves and the world.
