Depth of Breathing

Exploring the generative potential of uncertainty, Depth of Breathing presents a liminal space where the limits of understanding become thresholds for discovery. Through an intimate encounter with darkness, materiality and breath, the installation invited the viewer to inhabit the space between knowing and not-knowing, where ambiguity opens possibilities for reflection and transformation. In the dim, cavernous environment, a recording of water droplets reverberating, initiated by a deep exhalation, unfolds. Sound becomes a tactile presence, permeating the body and extending perception beyond hearing.  Breath becomes both a threshold and a connector: an act of relinquishment that shifts from the activity of everyday life into a state of quiet contemplation. It animates the body, mediates between inner and outer worlds, and holds the paradox of both individual distinction and shared existence.  The viewer is drawn into a closer, more intimate encounter with space and form, an invitation to embrace uncertainty not as an absence or failure of knowledge, but as a fertile ground in which perception, connection and new possibilities emerge.
